Refund Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective Date: 6 July 2026 · Global Network 4 You S.L.

At WhatToday, we want you to have the best possible experience. This Refund Policy explains clearly when refunds are available and how they are processed. We have designed our policy to be fair to both customers and local activity providers.

WhatToday is a booking intermediary. All activities are provided by independent local operators. Refund eligibility depends on the circumstances of each cancellation.

1. Customer cancellations

Cancellation more than 24 hours before start time

Full refund available

If you cancel your booking more than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, you are entitled to a full refund of the amount paid.

How to cancel:

  • Use the “Cancel my booking” link in your confirmation email, or on your booking confirmation page
  • Or email us at admin@whattoday.app with your booking reference

Online cancellation closes 24 hours before the activity starts, in line with the policy above. For most activities the cancellation is confirmed immediately; for a few we arrange it with the provider and email you once it is confirmed.

Refund timeline: 5–10 business days to your original payment method.

Refunds are processed to the original payment method only. We cannot refund to a different card or bank account.

Cancellation less than 24 hours before start time

No refund available

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time are non-refundable. This is because our local providers prepare staff, equipment and resources based on confirmed bookings.

This applies regardless of reason, including:

  • personal emergencies or illness
  • flight delays or cancellations
  • missed connections or transport disruptions
  • change of plans

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers activity cancellation costs.

2. No-show and late arrival

No refund available

Customers who do not appear at the meeting point at the scheduled time, or who arrive too late to participate, are not entitled to a refund.

Important:

  • Always arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time
  • Meeting point details are included in your booking confirmation
  • If you are running late, contact the provider directly using the contact details in your confirmation

WhatToday is not responsible for costs arising from missed departures due to late arrival.

3. Weather and safety cancellations by provider

Full refund or alternative date

Certain activities — particularly water sports, boat excursions and outdoor adventures — are weather-dependent. If a provider cancels due to:

  • adverse weather conditions
  • strong winds or rough sea conditions
  • safety concerns
  • port authority or government restrictions
  • force majeure events

You will be offered:

  • a full refund to your original payment method, OR
  • an alternative date at no additional cost, where available

The decision on whether conditions are safe to operate rests exclusively with the provider. WhatToday does not override these safety decisions.

If a provider cancels due to weather, we will contact you by email as soon as possible to arrange your refund or alternative.

4. Provider cancellation – operational

Full refund

In the rare event that a provider cancels your booking for operational reasons unrelated to weather or safety, you will receive a full refund.

WhatToday will also attempt to find an alternative provider or activity where possible.

5. Participation refused by provider

No refund in most cases

Providers may refuse participation for safety reasons. No refund is available where participation is refused because the customer:

  • does not meet stated age or health requirements
  • is under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • fails to comply with safety instructions
  • does not possess a required license or document
  • presents a safety risk to themselves or others

It is your responsibility to ensure you meet all participation requirements before booking. These are clearly listed on each activity page.

6. How to request a refund

To request a refund, contact us:

Email: admin@whattoday.app

Subject line: REFUND REQUEST – [Booking Reference]

Please include:

  • Your booking reference number
  • The activity name and date
  • The reason for your refund request
  • Any supporting documentation (e.g. provider cancellation message)

We aim to respond within 2 business days and process eligible refunds within 5–10 business days.

7. Chargebacks

We encourage customers to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with their bank or card provider. Most issues can be resolved quickly through our support team.

Unjustified chargebacks may result in the customer being restricted from using the WhatToday platform in future.

8. Travel insurance

WhatToday strongly recommends that all customers purchase comprehensive travel insurance before booking activities. Insurance should ideally cover:

  • activity cancellation
  • personal accident and medical costs
  • travel disruption
  • loss of personal belongings

WhatToday does not provide or arrange travel insurance.
